Hey all.

We just came out with our latest revision on our Atlas Skid Plate for the MK4 Golf, Jetta and New Beetles:

http://www.evolutionimport.com/atla...rain-hole-cover-for-new-beetle-golf-jetta-iv/

This bad boy has some really cool features now including two massive 9 inch strengthing ribs in the center section of the plate. The ribs do only one thing, they double the strength of the skid plate compared to before. We use our 150 ton press to get these ribs in.

We also made the back two holes into open slots for a very easy installation. You simply thread the back two bolts in a couple turns and the skid plate just slides right on. Then you just hold the front with one hand while threading the front two bolts in. That's it. But seeing is believing so check out our new Install Video here:

$15-35 shipping to most of North America from our US and Canadian warehouses. This skid plate is $275US.

Thanks all.

Wow, those are nice touches!

Could one cut those slots for the rear bolts in their original skid plate?

For sure.

Any of the previous versions of Atlas Skid Plates could have the rear holes changed to open slots.:) A Jig Saw will be your best tool to make that Mod happen. Just don't buck off the the back part of the skid plate to eliminate the center rivet nut and bolt. Well you can if you have the $3000.00 rib tool to add the ribs like we did to the new Atlas Plate.

Thanks for the Props.

Check this video out:

When you get any of our skid plate kits, please watch this video first before you install the rivet nuts. It shows exactly how the rivet nuts compress inside the frame which is something you can't see on your car.

If your rivet nuts are round or the hex shapped ones, they both install the same way.:)

Tell me how you like the video's here and or on Youtube.

Thanks all.

So if somebody is in town could this rib tool modify an existing plate?

As far as I know our rib tool is the only one out there. It is made specifically for our aluminum plates.:)

Yes we can sell the front brackets on there own however you will need to install two new rivet nuts if your upgrading from the old aluminum round posts.

The Blue Brackets are $22.00 each.

Cheers.:)
