Anyone know how many miles these things last with proper maintenance and dmf change? I have 204k so far on mine. 2 dmf's. The second wasn't really needed but oh well I changed it out anyways. Trying to gauge when I should consider getting a manual tdi. I have a 2006 jetta tdi.

I also have a 06. Changed the DMF only once at 123k, changed the DSG oil, the car drives like new, I have 209k right now. I really don't see what could go wrong if properly maintained, and if I correctly recall, I've seen some posts mentioning some DSG cars having over 300k.

275K on my 2006 Jetta. Replaced DMF at 122K. DSG still doing fine.

To use a phrase I've often seen on here, it's still too early to tell how long they last.

Did you guys DIY the clutchpacks? Saw a youtube vid once on r&r once, and it looked easy enough.

I had a garage do mine but only as I didn't have the time due to work. If it needed them again though I would do them myself.

Did a dual mass flywheel at 420,000KMs. Previous owner did it at 165,000. Have done fluid and filter at 480,000. So far works perfect and at 492,000.

That's a lot of miles. I'm still tempted to do a manual swap. Tempted to keep as-is since it does seem to last.

Yes, and no it's not that hard. The clutch kit comes with 10 different thickness circling and you have to choose the right one based on end play listed in the shop manual.

06' Jetta TDI dsg, 445,000 miles and counting!
440,000 US miles and going strong. One dmf at 280k. Drive it hard every single day and it just keeps going! Just came due for it's next service.

Yes Kilometers. Have done the timing belt twice, changed out the EGR pump, Flywheel, Burnt up an exhaust tophat and replaced the cam and all fittings. Replacing injectors now. might have to do the EGR again or rebuild the turbo next.

That's a lot of issues. Only thing major for me was the dmf but morpwr is selling me a manual conversion :D that means I will go smf and no more dmf replacements! Gonna have to check the cams next. I've heard p2015 could also be a sign of cam wear. I don't hear the bup bup sound yet.
