Dsg guru????

If someone wanted a DSG overhaul such as new mechatronics and new clutches installed and calibrated who would be the best person to see?
Opinions?

Maybe because the need to rebuild them is few and far between. Coolair got started with the much less reliable early VW automatics. Give him a call and see if he knows someone closer to you.

Mechatronics or clutch pack replacement is not an uncommon service at a dealership or independent shop well versed in late model VW and Audi cars, these are not as involved as any sort of transmission rebuild. Calibration can be done by anyone with VCDS.

It was my understanding that the DSG was not rebuild-able generally. Replacement was the only option and parts weren't available either. The mechatronic and clutch packs aren't rebuilding the DSG though. You should be able to find someone to do those.

I haven't rebuilt any DSG's, but I've replaced mechatronic and the clutch pack.

Haven't had any need of "rebuilding" as of yet.

Is the original poster having an issue or are you just "planning for when it happens?"
