DSG Fluid Level

Just dropped a used DSG into a JSW. Drained all previous fluid, changed filter and added the 5L of fluid. Once started and warmed to correct temp, I removed the adapter and had zero drain back out. Is that odd or will the trans take all 5L of fluid? Should I add more and get drain back or just leave it alone and motor on? Thanks.

This happened to me before. Seems like the actual factory fill for the 02E is greater than 5L, more like 5.8L.

I would add more fluid until it dribbles out. It seems like the oil fill level in your transmission now is below the top of the fill tube neck.

Add more until it dribbles out - at operating temperature, with the car perfectly level.

Thanks, that's what I eventually did. I added another liter and warmed it back up to the correct temp and removed the fill adapter. It puked out quite a bit, but slowed down and I capped it off. Should be good to go now.
