Dropped/lost socket in engine bay...where would it go (picture)?

I went to remove the air box (replacing air filter) and managed to drop the socket down in. The engine bay. It fell through a round hole (pictured). I stuck a long magnet down in there, but I can't seem to locate it. I banged on the splash guard...it doesn't appear to have gone that far.
Any idea where a small metal item would settle if it fell through the below pictures hole? Thank you.

I believe that is the hollow frame. Without looking at my car it is hard to tell. If it is the hole Im thinking it is, your socket is gone. Unless you can stand your car on its nose.

Oh well. I'm fine with that. I was just concerned that it might fall out/migrate and damage something. Thank you for your time.
