Did B5 come with manual trans and or 4 motion in USA?

My B4 is getting a bit long in the tooth and considering a replacement.

Did VW send any B5 or B6 TDI passats with mauals trans and/or 4 motion?

No, but that didn't stop some.

There is at least one B5 four motion TDI 6 speed running around. Maybe no B5.5 with that combination, but I'll cover the possibility with a "yet".

I know, what a crock. You can get the B5 in 4-motion or 5 speed (not sure about both in one), but you can't get a B5 TDI.

You can get a B5.5 with a TDI, but no TDI +5 speed or TDI + 4 motion.
Naturally the dream is TDI + 5 speed + 4 Motion = happy man

It's simple buy an Audi A4 quattro and drop a TDI in it... There are a couple detailed how to examples..
