Dent wizard & tint guy

Is anyone getting a dent wizard & tint guy to the fest? I can make contact with a few folks, but don't want to do double effort.

If you're up for it, take the initiative and call around since nobody else has updated the other thread with progress.

Yes, but people need to confirm these things. The "I'm sure someone..." and "Well, we thought..." are great, but there needs to be a commitment from the planners to either making this happen, or asking someone else to do it because there are too many other things to do. Leaving it up in the air to see what comes out in the wash is going to leave us high and dry at Fest.

I am calling Dent Wizard today to see what they can do for us. I will also be calling a tint guy. The plan is to get them there on Saturday so that people can get their cars tinted and undented for the show and shine on Sunday.

Head Count

Guys, I have a call in to Dent Wizard's regional manager, and I'm waiting for him to call back.

I need to get a head count for the following two things.

1. Dent Wizard's services.
2. Window tinting.

It would be great to have this by the end of the week so that I can give these people some more information. I need to know when to ask them to get here on Saturday, and a rough idea of when they'll be able to leave.

I have no idea about pricing yet. It will likely depend on a couple of things. 1.) What kind of car you have, and 2.) How many other people are signed up. I can't guarantee anything, but I am going to try and get them to do pricing in a similar manner to a "group buy."

We're probably looking at $100 - $250 for tinting, depending on what you want to have done, and what quality tint you want. Hint: you get what you pay for.

That's really cheap. It cost me over $300 to have my wagon tinted a few years ago.

I paid $200 to have a guy come to my house and do my Beetle back in 2000.

I will be sure to inquire about the quality of tint that this guy has. The cheap stuff isn't good. I'd rather spend a little extra money to get the quality tint, and I'm sure most of you would agree with me. I will also ask if he can bring various percentages (5% - 50%) and styles (black, color, semi-metallic, etc.).

The original place I called (The Tint Doctor) sounded very interested, but is going out of town that weekend... so, on to #2 on the list. I'm going to call them back tomorrow morning and give them the run-down on what we're expecting.

So I've spoken to about a half-dozen tint shops so far. It's difficult to find people who are willing to work outside of their shop (for quality control reasons). I just called another place that sounds interested in coming out, provided we have a little pop-up tent and power. The manager is going to ask his guys if they're interested in doing it and will get back to me tomorrow.

For now, if you're interested in tint, SIGN UP so that we can sweeten the deal and get these guys to Fest! I'd hate to go through all of this effort and get peoples' hopes up only to find out that it isn't worth while for the tint people to come out.

TDIClub does not have a pop up (EZ UP) to provide...

They will need to bring their own shelter, just like any other vendor for the fest.
