BRM swap

I have asked about my MK5 Jetta multiple times and received excellent advice in the past. I have a new question for you all. What are the challenges associated with swapping a BRM from a DSG car to a manual car? I would have both complete vehicles.

My motivation is that I have several mechanical and electrical issues with my DSG car and I also prefer a manual. I found a manual car with a blown engine (advertised as blown turbo and head) and I'm curious if it would be worth the 20 question game with the seller to see if it is a suitable replacement.

Thanks again for your future replies. Jerry

I think it's worth it if you have the time and have the ability to do it. It won't be cost effective to employ a shop to do it and I would imagine most places wouldn't want to do the work because most shops won't be familiar with these cars at all.
