It wasn't easy! I called at least 20 dealerships. Most had no manuals left at all, a couple had black or white, mostly S models though, and I wanted the sunroof and heated seats. I'll post a glamour shot when she's home.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but how does the process for the 0% financing work with these TDIs? Do I pre-apply through VW Credit online or is it some special process that is all done at the dealership?

My dealer emailed me a link to the online credit app. Very simple. They take care of everything else and you just sign the paperwork (lease or loan) when you pick up the car.

I ask because my local dealers haven't said anything about $5k off (and I've asked a lot). Curious as to what's up.

VW is offering it, if that dealer won't give you it, you will find one that will.

Just purchased 2015 Passat TDI SEL. Dealer has been holding for me since mid 16. 6,000 miles. got for Invoice less $6K. Hope the long sit didn't hurt. One of execs drove for several months till mid 2016.

Anyone tried using the VW Partner Program? Its supposed to give you invoice less $500 on top of the other incentives if your employer is on the list.

Not that it would really worry me, but 16 miles tells me that it has sat unmoved and didn't get the monthly drive and inspection it was supposed to get, and that the dealership was paid to do. Depending on how you look at it, that could be a plus or a minus. Either way, congrats and enjoy.

Thanks. The car drove great on the test drive and the 450 mile drive back home, getting 49 mpg with varying speeds 65-95. Everything appeared to be in order when I picked it up and I couldn't be happier.

The dealer here near Portland, ME isn't advertising their inventory but they have an assortment. Only one 6MT in the Golf S trim, but many DSGs in various models and trims. They offered $1000 off MSRP, in addition to the $5,000 from VW, with the purchase option so I put a deposit on a Platinum Grey Golf SEL DSG with driver assistance package. Sadly, no lighting package, but I've never had anything but halogen bulbs so I probably don't know what I'm missing. Maybe a retrofit down the road.

I put a deposit on a 15 Golf SEL, pretty much loaded, over 31K. I wish it was a manual but I can't be too picky at this point. I bought a new Mazda CX3, loaded in fwd to replace my 11 Golf that I turned in in January with almost 210K on it and realize I won't be satisfied driving a UJA. < Universal Japanese Automobile for almost 50K a year. I guess it's a good thing my wife who's turning in her 14 Passat SEL next week, (hate that car) actually likes the Mazda cuz it's hers now

Just took delivery of a 2015 Passat TDI 6speed Manual - Comfortline w/Sport Package.

They gave me a $6500 TDI Discount and 0% financing, so it's too good to pass up really... I was a bit unsure about potential shortfalls between insurance and actual value of vehicle in the case of a write-off, but my agent assures me that the new-car waiver is all good in this case.

Ended up being just a bit over $30K, and I put down $5K on it, so there's just a bit over $25K financed (right now).

Made my way through all of the stuff on the claims portal last night, and awaiting a return date, but looks like I'll get about $18.5K ($5250 of that is the "I'm Sorry Money") for my 2012 Passat TDI. It's got almost 200K on it, and 5 years of hard driving, so I can't really complain...

When the dust settles, it's definitely an excellent sideways move, and couldn't be happier with the new car!
