A4 tdi with RNS-E DVD navigation

Just bought a 2002 A4 TDi 130 Avant, swapped the symphony II stereo for a DVD navigation unit, got a couple of problems.

1. Vag-com will not talk to navigation or radio modules
2. Voice guidance talks over radio (no mute)
3. No nav info on DIS.
radio and navigation work fine and radio info appears on DIS so interface mest be ok.

Any ideas???

most possibly you need extra wires to be routed to your NAV, and to the cluster to communicate ,
for vag-com, I would say you need to check the pin layout of the symphony II and pin layout of the NAV there should be sticker with pin layout which is what and compare what is different. I don't have wiring diagrams in front of me to check..

Actually I believe RNS-E DVD navi has everything built in so it's probably a coding / wiring issue, I have never installed (or even seen in person) any one of those, so my best bet would be to recheck your wiring.
