Does anyone know at what pressure the high-side cutoff switch is supposed to cutoff?

While recharging the AC on my car, we noticed the high and low side pressures "took off" very quickly.

This would seem to indicate an overcharge, but we had only run in about 1 2/3 can... maybe 600 mg of coolant.

Since it was not likely overchared with refrigerant, we're thinking maybe an overcharge of oil? Anyone care to comment?

Brief History: AC quit working 2 summers ago. Took it to dealer, diagnosed bad expansion valve, replaced. Worked for a week, quit again. Diagnosed bad evaporator. Started to smell fishy (dealer, not AC) and couldn't afford any more diagnostics to verify. Tried some troubleshooting between now and then. Discovered that the low-side quick connect fitting is not manufactured properly... you have to push down on the gauge hose in order to open the check valve.

Recharged last night with results listed above. Also injected leak-detection dye. Will look for leaks this week.

TIA,
