\'96 Passat : Wett vs. Neuspeed P-Chip

I was just wondering if anybody ever upgraded from a P-chip to a Wett Chip? If so were there noticable power gains? I currently have the P-Chip and want more power out of my car, if anyone has that kind of info I would be grateful

Well Ric,
I kinda planned on keeping it as a back up, but you wanted one they are very cheap at $100 or less for the chip. The P Chip makes more power versus the stock chip and at that price its worth it. But I would like more power from the car, hence the question about the Wett Chip.

Thanks Skypup, but that doesn't really have anything to do with my question. At this point in time I am not looking for a tuning box. I am just looking for a comparison between the two chips.

Ric, taht chip won't work with your car anyway. The ECU part number is different and, at best, the Neuspeed chip will start the motor in your car with unpredictable results. At worst, you fry the ECU or, worse, the engine. Buyer beware.

Madcap: SINCE NOBODY ELSE WILL ACTUALLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION...The Neuspeed chip gives you about 11 more horsepower; the Wett chip about 25. Thus, the issue is whether you like the cost/benifit ratio. I intend to get a Wett chip for my 97 Passat.
