In fact, this is the lowest fuel consumption I got with my 1994 Polo Diesel.
The highest was 44 MPG going flat out and the average over nearly 9.000km is 58 MPG which pleases me very much, thank you ...
Here is a chart showing the potential:
And here is the data for the chart, the overall figures in boldface. This gives you a good idea of the prices for diesel in Germany.
All MPG figures are US-MPG of course.
