2009 TDI Engine Swap in PA?

I live in between Harrisburg and York, PA. My 2009 TDI JSW died on Friday and dealer told me that most likely the engine is shot.

If I get a replacement engine from a salvage yard, does anyone have a suggestion on a TDI plumber that can do the swap (with in a reasonable distance, I have to tow the JSW to the shop).

Bavarian Select Auto in Mechanicsburg is right behind my employer, they claim to specialize in VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Mini, but I don't know if they are TDI specialists. If anyone has any feed back on them, let me know.

GDM finished my engine swap. I pick my JSW tomorrow morning at 8...

Les told me some very interesting things about my car. Apparently, the previous owner did a "stealth" DPF delete. The DPF housing is there, but it has been hollowed out. Some type of tune was done to the car, since the check engine light isn't on. I purchased the car from a master mechanic at a VW dealer in Syracuse, NY so I have to wonder if he did some work... "after hours"

I'll give a full report tomorrow after I drive it home.

GDM did an excellent job at a very reasonable price! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.

Les took the time to sit down and discuss my car and what he found. He doesn't know who did the tune, but recommended that I get a Malone tune done since I should be getting far better fuel economy than the 37MPG that I am currently getting. Once my bank account absorbs the hit of an engine replacement, I'll be getting that done.

Suggest you go with Jeff@ Rocketchip since he is local to you and give you very personal Customer service....nothing against GDM or Malone

X2 to tomo's suggestion. Jeff is in Red Lion and he will go over your engine first to see why you're only getting 37MPG before recommending a level of tune to suit your needs.
