Hi everyone. This was from my vw service manager from vw dealership. He's good people.
("Ya I got your messages, I have been racking my brain tryingn to figure it out. I dont know of anything in particular that would explain that. But that mileage does seem low. There are a few things we could check, base mechanical cam timing- injector pulse width as just a few things. otherwise we may want to call some other folks and bounce ideas off them. I imagine we would need 2-3 hours of diagnosis to complete those checks and they would definately be the starting point. (my money would be on the cam timing)."
2005 beetle tdi has 91k on it. Bought it 6 months ago was getting 28mpg combined. Decided to get it future proofed, timing belt water bump cv boots, shocks etc.. Still can't seem to break the 28mpg dsg trans btw.
Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks
