Selling our '00 Golf TDI. It's been a great car for the last 16 years or so that we've owned it (we were the 2nd owners). It has roughly 310K miles on it, and still runs well. Here are the details, the good and bad:
DETAILS
4 door Golf.
Sun roof
Manual 5sp
Dark Metallic Blue outside
Grey fabric interior
Deep lugged VW floor mats
Stock Monsoon stereo
The GOOD
Still runs well, has power, starts quickly and passes CO emissions with ease.
AC works and blows cold.
All windows and sunroof work.
Wipers work.
Lights, radio etc all working.
Blau struts up front (about 5k miles on them)
Summer tires about 50%.
Extra set of winter tires (maybe one winter left) on matching wheels.
Clean Colorado title (not salvage, flood or whatever)
The BAD
Needs a timing belt/water pump (is due for a TB and I think water pump is leaking).
Clear coat paint is peeling in places.
Some minor body damage (cosmetic) around driver side wheel wells.
Rear window washer does not work (never has as long as we've owned it)
This car has been a reliable vehicle for us for many many years, and would be great for someone looking for a a Golf with an ALH engine who can do the timing belt job themselves (or know someone who can do it for them at a reasonable price).
Asking $1200 OBO (which is the KBB low price for fair condition less the cost of a quality TB/WP kit).
