1.9 TDI (2.0) 300 hp compression??

Question regarding one build.

VW 1.9 ASZ engine block, which is bored to a 2.0, uses BMP pistons and is with an AGR cylinder head.

Do the pistons need some shaving off to reduce the compression?

Target is to have from this setup 300hp and it should be usable as a everyday car.

Would this setup last without lowering the compression (modifying pistons) ?

Best to lower CR a touch otherwise you wont have much room to cram all that air and fuel in the pistons ! For 300 true Bhp you need a gtb2565vk or larger...and aggressive porting with a good flowing exhaust system to let the engine breathe !

IMO daily driver shouldn't smoke white at idle so I wouldn't decrease compression. Maybe consider changing rods if you are planning to drive hundres of thousands km:s with it.
