01M Transmission problem

Hello Everyone,
I have a 2001 Beetle TDI that developed transmission issues: 01M transmission. Was having an issue with the valve body so I replaced it. Took it for a test drive and things went crazy... like it was trying to go into all gears at once. Anyway..... got it back in the shop and hooked it up to VagCom... no error codes on the transmission. Won't go into first gear and no reverse. Scratching my head.... can anyone offer insight??
She has 235,000 and runs great.... just won't move!

Manual swap is the best way to "fix" an 01M. They're flaming piles of fail.

I think that is what I am gonna do. I have a parts car with all the parts I need. Will buy a new clutch and flywheel. Not really sure what to do so the computer does look for the auto trans. Any thoughts on that?

If you fixed it and it performs worse than before I'd suspect you did something wrong or your replacement parts were bad.

Mine only has about 180k and it's working fine.
