01221 short to ground

Drivers side airbag sensor short to ground 01221 is the code on vcds where should I start

Note there has been water in the footwell recently

Don't see short to ground but it should be similar to short to plus

Thanks for the reply.. What I've done is swapped the left sensor with the right sensor and the codes have swapped sides same code but on passenger side now but not on drivers which leads me to believe the sensor is the problem ive looked this up but apparently there quite expensive will second hand ones work or am I wasting my time

Well I don't think they're too hard to change, so try one from the wreckers, they should guarantee it to work. I do know some of these bits are picky, you'll want one with a matching part no.

Yeah i know a guy breaking another toledo same engine so ill try that. Is there a way of looping or putting a resistor on sensors ive done it with airbags before just wondering if anyone has done it with a sensor to be honest i just need the light off to pass the test
