Is it ok to use again after catastrophic failure (valve fell into cylinder) forged aftermarket conrods? Engine block and piston are trash, but conrod looks straight and there aren’t any visually noticeable defects or damages.

Question regarding one build.
VW 1.9 ASZ engine block, which is bored to a 2.0, uses BMP pistons and is with an AGR cylinder head.
Do the pistons need some shaving off to reduce the compression?

The current ASZ is already overbored for the 81mm piston. I think we will stick to the current ASZ, seems that the stock CR should be then fine with this setup?

Can someone advise how much material should be removed from the pistons more exactly to get the Ok CR? Someone advised above 1-2mm from the valve pockets, but how about the bowl? How much this should be machined?
Would like to go with thicker gasket way to decrease the CR, but dont know how thick to go with the thickness to get safe CR.

Are there any more modifications still needed to get the correct compression ratio? Add some head gasket with some other thickness than stock? Are there some modifications for the pistons needed or is all the work done by the new camshaft, what has the valve lift 9,9mm in this case.

It appeared that this camshaft is not available on the store anymore. One question regarding the angles what are marked for the cams. Are they related somehow to the valve lift? Is any 9,5-10mm valve lift camshaft ok to use and what is the difference?
