• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

Hello again my TDI friends. I just acquired a 2000 Jetta TDI GL with automatic trans.,alloys with the stock Michelins, black with light grey interior. This unit has 7076 miles and is prime. The unit was purchased new in April 2000 in Washington State (I have the name and address of the previous owner)who by the way bought it and paid almost a $2000 value added sticker price which totaled almost $25,000 along with an extended warranty. I will contact the selling dealer and attempt to have the extended warranty transferred to the new owner if it dosn't trigger a problem on the 10yr/100K PT warranty. There may also be a way to retain the full 10 year 100K PT warranty as well because this unit was not purchased via VW/Audi Credit and therefore bypassed the automatic nix. I'm not advocating fraud here but when was the last time a VW dealership asked you for ID? I have all the books (1st service stamp in), (2) fold-away key-less entry units, valet key, and all the original sales contracts, window sticker and such. I will sell this unit to a member of this forum for $18,985 FIRM. The unit should arrive here in the LA area by the middle of the week 1/17-1/19. The first $2000 overnighted to me will hold the vehicle and will be refunded if you do not take delivery due to undisclosed flaws after your physical inspection. I will take this unit to any VW dealer or mechanic of your choice in my area at your expense. I will have several pics to e-mail anyone who requests.

Harv,
Does the unit have the CA emissions sticker under the hood? My understanding is that not all the 2000's had this, but all the '01's do. If it doesn't, the unit will need 7500 miles on the clock before being able to legally register it in CA.

Hello I Fly TDI, I'm impressed, you are absolutely correct this unit does need 7500 miles on it to sell in CA and I don't know if it has the CA emmissions sticker on it or not. I live in Gardena (near LAX) and my dealership is in Corona which happens to be about 100 miles round trip. I would absolutely enjoy putting a little over 400 miles on this unit and could do it in a couple days if necessary. As a matter of fact I plan to use this unit as my driver everyday before it sells because I sold the other (3) TDI's and I've been having to drive diesel pick-em-up trucks to and from lately and it really dents the wallet comparatively speaking but still much better than the gas monsters.

Well, since I listed the initial post it took another couple weeks for this baby to arrive due to a transport company's lying dispatcher. Anyway, this vehicle does have the California Emmissions sticker on it but I have been driving it anyway and just advertised it for sale here locally on mylot for $20,500. I was quite surprised to see nobody from this forum expressed any interest on this gem. I think that the price is great especially after seeing the post from the new forum member Sunnyvale VW. I decided to get some needed exposure on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=551019577

I've sold all four of the TDI's I had the last 1 1/2 months and I made myself a promise that if this vehicle dosn't sell by 02-15-01 (even though there's not a snowballs chance in he!!) I will keep it as my personal vehicle and see you all in Park City. If not I will still be in Park City with a brand new Canadian (Calgary) 01 Jetta TDI GLS Automatic,Lux pkg.silver/blk leather, spoiler, splash guards, window shades, and maybe those 17" VW alloys on sale on e-bay, I will Upsolute after break-in.

Hello fans! Just an update on this 2000 Jetta Automatic. I just ended e-bay early because I just retailed it to a couple from Long Beach. I had it listed on the lot for $20,500 and ended up selling it for $20,000 even plus tax and license. I was prepared to sell for even less on e-bay because we need the exposure and great feedback. Don't forget I will possibly be acquiring (2) Golf GLS Auotmatics one with 136 miles and the other with 7000+ miles on Thurs. 02/08. Contact me if you are interested.
