I have a 2004 Passat Wagon that the transmission is going out on. The motor is very strong with upgrades completed. I am looking at all of my options right now... I love the car!
Getting a transmission and installed is a lot more money than I expected it to be.
I am a long way from the east coast.... Montana

Logistics suck sometimes. You probably should convert to manual if you can and love the car and it's nice. I also have an FHN converted 2004 Wagon and it has become one of my favorites. B5.5 tdi's rule!!!!

I have one. About to drop 4 grand for new auto trans. 2005 wagon. 204k. Engine is tip top with all recommended mods/deletes. New tires. Even with the bad trans it still runs great if you reset the CEL after it goes up a hill and enters limp mode.

I assume you’re looking for more of a junker, but am curious about your ballpark range.
