Hey guys,

I'm looking for a clutch alignment tool for my euro 6 speed swapped 03 Jetta with an ALH.

Anyone got one they don't want?

Honestly, just eyeball it. Even with an alignment tool there can still be a bit of play. I like to tighten the pressure plate bolts just slightly so I can slide the disc but it will stay in place wherever I let go.

16mm / ⅝" deep socket provides a reasonable facscimile IIRC.
(And doesn't the one included with 5sp clutches work with the 6sp? Pretty sure I didn't have to use a different one when I did my 02M swaps.)

Splines are different on 6 speed. I have both tools. EDIT: looks like the 02j tool will slip in there and work. 02J is 28 spline but smaller than the 23 spline 02M shaft.

^^ this… when the specialized tool isn’t readily available.

I'm a stickler for using the special tools....had my engine out and discovered I couldn't find my clutch alignment tool.

The 5/8 deepwell socket worked. and I got the engine / transmission mated perfectly on the first stab.
