I'm looking for both electrical connectors for a 2003 #3 injector and crank position sensor.

I would like to record these signals but don't want to cut into the wires so I'm looking for both connectors so I can make a "junction" to plug in/out my DAQ system.

Hopefully someone has a #3 injector with a damaged wire and maybe an old wiring harness lying around that they wouldn't mind parting out?

Both pairs of connectors and at least a few inches of wire on both sides would be great!

Let me know if you've got something like this available

So you want both sides, the harness and the sensor?
I think I have some damaged stuff in the garage

Yes - Both Sides of each connector please and whatever wiring that can reasonably come with it (a couple inches at least if you could).

I don't need the sensors themselves (but can be included if you want). Just the 2 pairs of connectors with the a few inches of wire on each end)

Damaged items are perfect!

If you go to the website (www.rockauto.com) and work your way down the tree you'll find it.

The path I took is:
->VOLKSWAGEN->2002->JETTA->1.9L L4 DIESEL Turbocharged->Electrical-Connector->Fuel Injector Connector

Alternatively at the top of the website you can switch to the search by part number tab and plug in the one I posted above (HP3860).

pretty sure I have everything. I'll need to dig up an old crank sensor and find that junk injector set I replaced a long time ago but I know I have the harness sides. Send me an email with your shipping address.

Matt, didn't notice until just now that your original request was for 03 connector. I sent 96-02. Sorry! I have a bunch of 03 style harness side 2 pins but no injector side. Those are all still quite valuable actually.

Robby - If you've got a 2003 harness side, I've got a spare #3 2003 injector that I could take the connector off and put repair wires in to make it work.

canadacatalyst - Thanks for chiming in. If I don't get something worked out, I'll be in touch.

That 2 pin connector is pretty ubiquitous on VW harnesses. Any old JY ought to have several. 1J0 973 722
Robby is right on - Thanks to a post by MOGolf, I found these part numbers in relation to the 2003 #3 Injector electrical connector and repair wires. And I happened to have a 1J0 973 722 rolling around in my tool box and found a couple unidentified repair wires that look like they should work.

MOGolf said:
Repair wires for 1J0 973 722 are 000 979 133, 000 979 133 A, 000 979 225 and 000 979 225 A.

Mate for 1J0 973 722 is 8D0 973 822. Wires 1,0 mm - 000 979 134, 000 979 134 A, 2,5 mm - 000 979 226, and 000 979 226 A.
1J0 973 722 is the ECU side of the connector
8D0 973 822 is the Injector side of the connector

Bumping this up again for anyone who might have an old crank sensor collecting dust. The one that Robby sent was good on the ECU side, but the sensor side is not in good shape.

Failed sensor, etc is just fine, I'm going to cut the connector/wires off anyway.
