Wrong average mpg reported.

Greetings fellow TDI users.
Mine is a 1.6 CAYC, 2011.
Having changed all 4 injectors after 2 successive failures of the original ones (lasted 250.000+ kms). I now have a suspiciously good (too good to be true) average mpg reported.
Used to have at best 4.5l/100km, now the numbers have dropped to around 3.9-4.3l/100.
While the reported remaining fuel amount in the tank vs traveled distance indicates something around 5.2l/100.
Also when idle, the engine used to burn 0.4-0.7l/h, same as I used to see on a much newer specimen of the same model. Now it claims 0.2-0.3l/h, again, too good to be true.
Any feedback on this?

have you tried hand calculating the mileage when filling up?
the consumption is adjustable using VCDS should you find a significant variation

I am yet to do that since I had only once the opportunity to fill up and reset the km counter since injectors replacement. Next time I fill up l, I will have the exact real mpg.
Can you advise me where in VCDS the consumption can be adjusted?
I also ponder the necessity run the IDE06141 procedure but am hesitating: after few hundred of km the idle is now smooth and, except suspicious reported mpg, the engine seems to run fine.
