I have a 2010 Jetta Tdi wagon 6 speed with 310,000 miles. The shifting is starting to get vague. What wears in the shift linkage that can be replaced to renew the shifting?

looks like there is just rubber bushings used in the linkage.
here is some upgrades i found from some quick googling

Upgrade your bushings. I recommend dieselgeeks kit along with the short shifter.

My side to side cable end bushing was in two pieces when I installed my sigma six and it fixed all the slop in mine. I had done the super pin and FGG from diesel geek first so I could now find first again. The side to side slop was all in the cable end.

When did you last change the gear oil? I'd do that first, if it's been a while, or never.
