I bought these wicked expensive silicone wiper blades which Scotty says will last forever. When I went to put them on, I discovered a proprietary wiper arm that looks like nuttin I ever dealt w/ b4.
Idparts has a video showing replacement using Valeo blades. Is that my only option, or is there some work around to allow me to use my PIAA Silicone Advantage blades which come w/ 5 different adapters, none of witch seem to work?

I bought a pair from Costco (Michelin) that didn't have the strange type adapter for the JSW. I called them and they knew right away "those adapters" and sent a set out.

Contact the supplier they should be good for them.

I contacted the supplier (PIAA at 800-525-7422, Allen) but I had none of your success. I was instructed to use the "M" adapter included w/ the $25 silicone wipers, which I did, but no joy. I emailed Allen detailed pictures of the mismatch I encountered using the suggested "M" adapter w/ the JSW wiper arm receiving area. That was on Dec 30. I have not yet heard back from them.

It is a bad time of the year for responding. That said if the adapters PIAA said to use are obviously not the proper ones either they don't know their product or don't care. Even if you have to get adapters from Michelin (they sent out right away for free) you cant beat Costco's deal.

I've been dealing w/ two other businesses this week and they got back to me promptly. (A third business I was forewarned would be closed, so I await their opening tomorrow.)
I'll ping PIAA again tomorrow and report back. I have > $50 in these two silicone wiper blades and I'm not about to write that expenditure off quickly! AVOID PIAA wipers for VWs for now.

When replacing wipers on my wife's '13 JSW_TDI a few months ago, I found Amazon offers a two pack of Bosch blades containing two different lengths. (Bosch AeroTwin) For the '13 JSW, I used the A979S (24" and 19") with an A330H (13" rear). The attachment method for the front blades was labeled "Top Lock 19mm".

I also found my '04 Jetta Wagon, her '13 JSW, and my '19 e-Golf all use different blades with different attachment methods. So NOTHING in my driveway is interchangeable, not even the rear wiper blades!! When the Amazon blades arrived, I shot photos of the boxes next to her color coded key fob, so I know what to re-order in the future.

My '11JSW is same as my '07 Passat was...even same size wipers. Huh...thanks for heads up...confusion in wiper business can be frustrating. I will be replacing them fairly soon so~~~~~ look out eh?

I would not bother with Fancy shmancy Silicone wipers i once bought a pair of boch evolution wiper blades wich were very X expensive $ only to find out 14 months later rubber ripped from one of the blades. lesson learned i only buy my wiper blades off Costco they carry Michelin Stealth at $10.00 all day each blade any size i need. it works for me You in time will eventually see what i mean.

Well it took a bit of wrangling, and much more time than I ever could imagine, but I finally got the "fancy schmancy" PIAA wipers to fit. Full disclosure: my fault all along in my inability to correctly identify the proper adapter which was included along w/ the blades. I sure do hope their longevity make this exercise worth while.
