Window Motor

Are all the window motors the same on a MkIV Jetta? My driver rear is acting up and I wanted to get the part before opening the door up.

Bump. From looking at parts store sites they are different, I need a vag part # though. Trying to buy from a member that has a stash of motors.

What I can tell you is all the 2003's have the same rear drivers side motor. There was only a choice of a C or a J as the second digit, that tells you which can system you have but at that age they're all the later one which is C. I just can't remember the rest off hand, something like 1C2. Could probably find it on ebay though.

I think it might be 1C0 959 812A

Lol of course, we have right hand drive whereas you have wrong hand drive

Could be the actuator NOT the motor itself. My car has 220K clicks on the dial and the motors are fine...use the windows daily. Sure it's the motor???
