Will a MK4 hood fit in the back of an MK4 wagon?

Will it fit with the rear seats folded down? Anyone actually try? Going to the boneyard to get a hood and no I am not going to drive without a hood and install it there. It's for a different car actually.

It absolutely will fit. I picked up a hood for my son's Golf in my Wagon years ago, no problem. In fact, a NMS Passat hood will also fit. Done that, too.

That is awesome. Anyone done a hood and a few other parts? Donor car has a rear bumper and fenders I might want. Multiple trips are not fun when talking a few hundred miles. I have a vehicle that is trailer equipped but it gets 35% the fuel economy but I hate driving that vehicle for a variety of reasons. Thanks.

It should fit. Just take a bunch of blankets. Careful stacking/packing

Just FYI a wagon hatch will also fit.

Don't the wagons come standard with longitudinal rails? Lash a coupla' 2x4s across the rails, space accordingly.

Bumper cover will fit inside, too. Hood will go in crossways and at a diagonal. You can slide the bumper cover under one side. No problem.

I do believe the horizontal racks on my Golf are a drag, but doubt if the longitudinal rails are much of a factor.

It should. I've brought home hoods in the back of my JSW, which are probably the same dimensions as a wagon.

Haha, that's why we endear our wagons, for those of us with wagons (I prefer having one of each).

I’ve done a hood and a hatch, just be careful with 2x4. The lightest touch had me getting a new windshield earlier this year. doh!
