Great questions!
How do the registration numbers look so far compared to previous TDIfests? Is there usually a surge in registrations that happens during the final week or so before TDIfest? How are we doing so far, given the size of the venue?
Just trying to understand all the dynamics at work as the 'fest date approaches.
I'm sure Dieselgate will be a major topic of discussion among 'fest attendees.Great questions!
This year's registrations have been very steady compared to previous years, although overall numbers are down by comparison. Dieselgate certainly isn't doing us any favors with regard to excitement about TDIs, so that probably has something do with it.
Historically, we get a surge in registrations in the two weeks leading up to Fest. If that happens again this year, which I fully expect it to, our numbers will be comparable to last year's Fest. The venue this year isn't nearly as spread out as Sunday River was, so the overall feeling should be busier. I think this size venue was the right choice for this year.
