My wife put her foot down in "that way" we both know she is serious (she never cries "Wolf" bless her heart): we're keeping the car. Love the engineering, the features of the SE (lights, sound system in particular), long legs of the diesel.

Sold the 09, got 11k for it. Bought a 15 for 19k, been tripling the payments since April. Only $3900 left on it, and just rolled 4000 on the clock.

I love it. Thanks vw.

Turned my 2015 GSW in on January 5th. Bought a 2015 Golf S yesterday. $720 under sticker plus $5k rebate and 0% for 72 months.

Just committed to the fix the other day. I have had no issues with our GSW & could not find an alternative that I would like to drive as much as, let alone more than, what I currently have.

It sounds like the fix isn't going to screw up drivability & the extended warranty for fuel & emission systems is gravy on top of the over $7.9K cash back (plus $1K "good will").

I don't know what state you live in.

In Oklahoma if I do the BB, I would need to pay about $1,000 TT&L on a new replacement car.

Buy Back? ~~ FIX?

On the fence.

First is was BB
The flipped to *FIX*

Repeat above cycle one time.

$25,625 on the line for the BB. But I do not want a 2017 Golf replacement. 2018 yes.

The fix is good for $7,051 (including $350 BOSCH), But have to wait to unknown date in 2018(?) to get the last $2,233.

If I do the BB when the 2018 Golf (S-SE) is here, the goal is to have driven 3 years 100% free as I swap the TDi for a brand new TSi. And start over with a 3 year bumper to bumper, 60,000 mile WARRANTY; and pocket about $2,000 (if I get the (SE) or $5,000 if I get the (S)

Both the SE and the S will have up grades (standard) compared to my '15. In my mind I will add those amenities to the $2,000 or $5,000

:D

Selling my 09 JSW back to VW. Getting a brand new 6 speed manual 15 GSW for about half price. Doing the swap on Aug 16. It comes with an 11 year warranty on the emissions system.
Good times.

****. I'm stoked to get 120% money back on the previous car,, after using it for 4 years rolled 100k miles on it, to pay off over half of a vehicle with zero miles.

Everyone here knows that'll never happen again. Vehicles are not investments. This was the car lottery.
