Has anyone had any experience with Gold Key Motors (I think formerly Wolfe Motors) in White Rock, B.C? I happened to be near White Rock in my job as courier with mechanical problems on my TDI on two occations and needed quick diagnoses. On both occasions they offered fast, friendly, and free of charge diagnoses. I'm thinking they might be my next WV dealer. Any opinions?

I had great experiences with Gold Key's service department. I had my first oil change done by them and my car was in and out in 20 minutes. Also, when I needed some warranty work done they did it without any questions asked -- they believed the customer the first time without being skeptical unlike several other dealers around town. I will be back there for my 16,000km service for sure. It's worth the drive down from Vancouver.

Not so sure about their sales department though.

I had also good experience with Gold Key. Changed oil yesterday there, they put my Delvac in (mechanic asked me where did I get it, his son just bought TDI). I paid $30 for that service (including filter). While there I asked "how much" for timing belt change and they asking $570. They agreed to install new style timing belt. Other dealerships asking from $700 to $800 and as a rule NO new style belt, just "original". So will se maybe I'll go for it.
