hey everyone, just looking for some narrowed down advice....
all i have right now is a generic code scanner, but i have an overboost code, and a glow plug code.

I replaced the glow plugs, and now need to replace the relay as it seems that my harness is not getting any voltage, and the harness seems fine. but my startups have been rough, alot of bucking and shaking, and lots of smoke untill i get driving and the engine warms up. as for the overboost code, my MAF seems to be working fine (unplugged and checked, but no scan to see) and my actuator is moving fine (so im assuming my N75 is fine as well) but when i hit up around the 3000 RPM at about 80km/h it hesitates, it doesnt hit limp mode b/c i can still accelerate and get to about 120km/h. then yesterday i was up around 3200 rpm and the car just stalled..i restarted and it was super rough idle so i shut it off, let it sit for 4 min and it started and purred like a kitten (or tractor). I am just so lost, and dont know where to start...and i dont want to take it to the stealership and have them run me and my bank account around. also my egr is not clogged at all...nice and clean.

any help or ideas of where to start would be greatly appreciated!

How's the fuel filter? Might be time for a new one, are you getting decent fuel? As for the over boost it's always worth changing the vacuum lines as they're cheap anyway, just get a length of the pipe then take off one piece at a time and cut the new piece to length then fit it, also check for boost leaks on the main turbo pipes, you might see an oily patch around one of the connections which would indicate a leak.:)

fuel filter only has about 18,000km. yeah i thought of doing the vacuum lines, sorry but what do you mean by 'boost leaks'?

The big turbo pipe that comes from the turbo at the rear of the engine then goes to the intercooler then up to the inlet manifold, it can have a burst or one of the connections can be bad and it then leaks turbo boost, it can cause rough running, smoke, lack of power, limp mode etc. Free to check though, I always think it's best to check the free stuff first rather than throw money at a car in the hope that something works.:)

Have you checked or no yet? If you checked ok, then you may take to the dealer for diagnosis. And when they tell you the cause, at that time you may decline them doing the work and pick up your car back.

"thanks! ill check that first! "

Cool, these things always seem worse when it's your car but you just have to try and work through them in some sort of logical way like any problem, you'll get it sorted yet.:)

Probably a glitch in the fuel delivery or a relay I think, maybe the 109 getting hot:)

I wonder why is Seatman thanking when he had suggested checking the hose. He should be thanking if the problem is with his car and someone gave a suggestion.

what kind of 'glitch' are we talking about, and does the 109 relay cover that kind of stuff? which other relay could it be?

Since you theorized a glitch in the fuel delivery or 109 relay, than you ought to know or speculate what kind of glitch we are taking about.

Maybe the 109 relay is a tad on the not so good side as it once was and for some reason threw a wobbly and cut out there by causing the car to stall or maybe the fuel pump's a bit worn and failed to deliver the fuel to the injectors or an air bubble in the lines etc etc and I wasn't thanking you plonker, I was quoting his text thanking me for suggestions on things to look at because you Dodoma got a post in while I was still typing.:D How about you, got any better suggestions? Or are you just trying to start trouble:p

Hi had many problems with no starts and tracked it down to 109 relay which had a bad solder joint, re-soldered it and now no problems touch wood :) see pic below!
