I'm a new member and appreciate this forum because it is helping me become informed on the VW TDI engines in Passats and Jettas, two models I'm shopping along with some hybrids and gas powered models. So first, thanks Everyone!
Having said that, as I wade thru the various stickies I'm finding advice that only reaches up to model year 2005...or 2000...or even earlier. I've shopped around and searched, but I can't find a sticky or main thread that acknowledges we have entered the second decade of the new Millenium and speaks to late model TDIs. Is it there and I've yet to find it? Beyond mining each seemingly apparent thread and starting at the last page, is there a better way for a prospective buyer to school him/herself on new (or newish) TDI engines? I'd welcome suggestions from those of you who have already walked this path.
And to Victoria (I think it was): you posted as a new 2012 Jetta owner in Jacksonville. If you see this, I'd welcome the chance to PM you a few Q's about your dealer. Many thanks!
