Sorry for the delay, here is what i posted in VW Vortex. So far I have an answer that has to do with spark-plug wires, distributer and rotor. Maybe I can get other answers here. Again thanks for all the help in the past.
I usually find my issues by looking through the other posts. Unfortunately this time i cannot. My issue started when my little Golf with ~200,000 mils on it started to break off the crank pulley and timing belt gear while driving down the road (it didn't like to run after that) It did this three times on me until hopefully i found the issue why (end of crank not true and key slot a little worn) I hopefully fixed this problem by adding a little epoxy to the crank timing gear when I put it on to true it up (we will see). Well after I did this and put the timing belt back on and in time, the car ran fine (before the check engine light would be on and it would spit an sputter going down the road. Well a day after doing this and going to work the car would run fine and then for no reason start to "bog down" a little, the check engine light would come on. After a minute or so it would go away and the car would run fine. This would happen 4 or 5 times during my hour commute. Well I have the VAGCOM program and i ran a diagnostic on it and came up with the following codes. 00518, 00537, 01249, 01250, 01251, 01252, 01257. I know the 01249-52 are the injectors open or ground fault but what could be causing this issue. I know there is a lot of knowledge on this site so hopefully somebody could tell me where to start. I don't want to throw a lot of money into my car but I would like to get a few more years out of it if i could. It has been good to me.
