Wheel bearing Replacement

I didn't find that we had a procedure for replacing the wheel bearings. The VW procedure is excessively complex for the front bearing. It can be simpler.

I created a PDF describing how to replace the wheels bearings. The PDF covers rear and front bearings.

Neither job is too difficult to do.

He was very helpful to me when we had the two B5.5's. Ditto for others I am sure.

In fact when I replaced my driver's side wheel bearing, I bought another bearing to have on hand. It is still in the box, which to me is good if I never have to do it.

This is exactly the reason I bought 2 outer CV joints.
