I've never been to a TDI fest. I was curious what some people's past experiences at TDI Fest have been? What's your Favorite TDI Fest Story...

The most eye opening experience has been in meeting the nicest, most eloquent, well mannered people and not their "trolling", inane, bandwidth wasting, screen name alter egos. Some of the more villified posters I found to be personable, knowledgable, and a pleasure to be around.
I don't agree with all the opinions of all the people that I've met through Fred's, but there isn't one that I dislike.
Perhaps they, (and I?), are on their (our) best behavior only for the duration of the festival, but it's the people, not the location, not the events, that really stand out for me.
YMMV

None now. Former: 2011 335d, 2010 Jetta TDI, 2003 Jetta TDI Wagon. 99.5 Jetta TDI, 98 NB TDI, 3 different black 96 Passat TDI wagons.
I think discovering that most of the Playboy bunnies drive TDIs ranks right up there. They are known to get into heated debates over stupid things like which oil is best, Upsolute vs Rocketchip, suspension choices, etc.

It gets pretty ugly with their shoving, hair yanking, and ripping of clothes, but eventually they all end up happily au naturel in the hot tub with the rest of us.

Each fest has its own flavor, but there are a few constants: a lot of chatting and getting to know the people that you know online already, meeting new folks, getting to see some fantastic cars and mods you may never have even thought of, and of course lots and lots of diesel fumes.

This year's flavor, apparently, is beer. With a fantastic brew pub across the street from the fest, plus a number of breweries in and around the city.

Yummy. Please drink responsibly.

I assume that there are vendors on Sat. and Sunday. I live in CT. and would like to come up for one day so I am not interested in the tours of Boston since I can go anytime.

I am interested in meeting the people and seeing the technology. Is there a listing of vendors that will be there? I apologize if it's posted and I am just missing it.
