The number is DSLA150 P520 and they're .205 like in the 110 bhp engines.

Haha:) Yes, that was pretty obvious. I should have been clearer, what manufacturer and are they any good?
I just took them out of the car and did a search for them and can't find much!

Good job the needle burnt before anything more serious happened I reckon, seen some proper engine destruction porn on this site.

Now I got to play with the IQ. I only get it as high as 2.2. If I try to lower it, it goes to 0.1...and idles like a harley :) So, hammer mod, here I come!:)

It makes sense then, why the needle on one was so burned at the tip :)
Good they're out I guess.
Thanks Seatman!
Burnt nozzles are due to incorrect injector settings. Being made in China does not help either.

I have seen brand new nozzles incorrectly mounted burned up in under 3000 miles, Had they been set to the correct "new" settings the owners would have gotten 100K+ out of them.

Don't put a new nozzle on that set unless the injectors are correctly set, the next set of nozzles will suffer the same fate.

Thanks DBW. I am working on buying a second set of injector bodies and they'll make their way to you for proper installation. I am still debating on what nozzles to use. PP764's or Race 520's. Decisions, decisions:)

i change the noozles of tdi 90 for the tdi 110 is 205 size. and in firt run the engine skakes in idle, only in idle, may I.Q is 2.1mh/str, if i set the I.Q in 3.1 the engine dont shake anymore, but i lost the power ..... with stock noozlesr my car had more power and value with vagcom was in default with 32,768 ...... what can be? I am also black smoke with SR 3.1mh/str but if the IQ stay in 1.8 str/mg i dont have smoke, but I can not have this value because the car shakes very in idle

The book calls for the IQ to be set between 2.2 and 9. If you get it to run good at .3.1 That is where I would leave it. You can not not be losing much power at that setting.

Had one in the shop doing something similar: IQ was bouncing between 2.0 & 0 & running like ass. Hammered it up to 4, bouncing between 4 & 2.0 then, much smoother idle & better power, but then set a hard fault for the Quantity Adjuster. Makes sense. When I started it had an intermittent fault for it. Cust. wasn't too happy about still having a CEL & occasional glow plug blink until he drove it & remarked that it had never run so well.

Looking for a good used QA for an ALH still if anyone has one for sale/trade.

If i set 2.0 and then i hammered the pump to raise I.Q for 4 for example, the boucing its 2.0 fot 4? my value bouncing at 2.2 for 0.4 .....

Go big or go home ;)
R520 all the way. Mine were set up by DBW at stg1 and they put out a bit more fuel than my .216's did. And seem to have a bit better (less) fuel consumption when im not being heavy footed.

when and if* i ever get tuned, they will be going back to DBW for a stg3(standard) adjustment. (Depending on what the tuner says)

As far as IQ mine doesnt bounce much at all... mine is set to about 6 and varies from about 5.8-6.2 if that. I dont think a 2 point bounce is too normal. What are the nozzles again? Were they professionally set, or thrown together?

My IQ didn't bounce with the chinese 205 and it doesn't with the Smog 216 either. So, I wanna say there is something else wrong there. But I'll let the gurus chime in for that.

Could be that they are checking IQ on a cold engine. The engine is ssupposed to be warm. If it is a cold engine i think you get precisely that, bouncing IQ. I may be mistaken on that, but i do know IQ is to be checked with a warm engine

yep, do check it warm, but I thought that was because IQ increases as fuel temp climbs. Haven't seen a correlation between fuel temp & bounciness. Time to tinker this long weekend i guess :)
