What is a PO252 code

I got a P0252 code that started with total loss of boost and possibly fuel starvation. Wont rev up and very slow to get to speed. Just driving along the highway at 50 MPH and went to step down and no power, and the Ck Engine light was set. Scan tool shows P0252 and erases but resets a minute later. Vac line look ok and starts fine. Any Ideas?

P0252 is Injection pump metering control (A) range/performance not to sure what that means myself but that's the bently definition

Beyond that, you will need someone a lot better than me to help. Suggest you find a TDI Guru. Not a dealer.

Not sure where you are seeing P0252 but I believe VCDS would report P1248:

Since you have a "new" pump this thread might be relevant - pump pulley was incorrectly indexed:

p0252 after engine swap

I swapped a ALH from one car to another, as a result of the accessory bracket breaking I swapped a good one on (had to take IP off.. etc). System was all re-timed, I know the crank and cam are aligned ok, but maybe the IP would need adjustment, I had to take the pulley off so could being out too...

i still haven't fixed this issue i'm annoyed as ****, i see the possibility of it being the N108 connection?
