Well… i’ve come to a crossroads, I have a 2001 Volkswagen Golf TDI 1.9l ALH. It has been out for a while due to a runaway and we have almost got the engine in however the ARP head studs we order have been back ordered till September and it is currently late May. My question is with my modifications can I still rock OEM head studs without any riskiness?
Modifications:
-VNT-17 Turbo
- .216 Injector nozzles
- Stage 2 South bend clutch with a 22 lb flywheel
- 3” turbo back exhaust
- EGR delete
- 1 over boring pistons

I believe that should be it
Thank you!

Unless you bore the block with arps installed on a torque plate.... dont use them. That and ilyiur not running over 30psi so forget it. Use stock tty bolts

Get pd150 ARL head studs and cut them to length, use your old washers from used head studs but you need to enlarge the holes slightly ! Frankly you don’t really need ARP headstuds with your specs…
