Good news for everyone. Jobs, more great cars on the roads, less pollution. There wuz a word out there that they switched to 100% diesels due to demand.

A simple search on cars.com in my area (NY Metro) shows about 600 cars in 50 mile radius, out of which may be 70 are diesels. 4 (!) are 6MT

250 miles of Metro Detroit search on cars.com:
1470 new Passats
63 TDI
2 Manual

Cars.com, Autotrader, and dealer inventories are not always accurate. Sold cars often do not get removed from listings very quickly.

TDI and SEL Premium specifically is in high demand near me.

I had to order my manual because the none of the dealers I went to showed any manuals on the manifest, ever.

Was it worth the wait? hell yes.

I believe TDIs were 100% of production for a short while during a parts shortage for the gassers. I think they're back to 25% of production, but I don't know for sure.

And out of that 25%, what percentage are 6M gearboxes, is your guestimate? Out of 100% TDI's I would think that 6M's are less than 5%, 1 out of 20, maybe 25, it seems.

From reading the posts on here, it seems like the 6MT is 20% of TDI production at the very most.

You'd be surprised how it feels when you actually try to buy one. DSG's are everywhere, 6M's are a needle in a haystack, with black being the easiest to find.
