I just picked up a silver '01 GLS TDI Jetta with 166,000 miles for $1,800. 5 speed, black leather, heat seats, sunroof, steering wheel controls for the cruise and (replaced) stereo.

The starter needs to be repaired and the bun warmers don't work. I bump started it and drove it home.

I paid $13,900 in March 2015 for my '10 Jetta in pristine condish, $56k miles, 6-speed manual with one owner. Purchased in Jan. 2011 and owned/driven for 3 years+ 7 months. Black leather interior, sunroof, alloy wheels, all the bells and whistles. The price was just underneath bluebook value

Saturday I paid $4500 with safety and etest for a 2006 Jetta Wagon TDI 287,000 km, blue with beige leather, winters on 15" alloys, thule roof rack and summer 17" 7-spoke alloys. In nice shape with the exception of common rust areas (Ontario). I will be taking it in for warrantee rust repairs. I should at least get a new hatch and fenders. Cambridge VW doesn't cover rocker panels so I will have to fix that on my own. The previous owner let some things go as he was selling, so its a timing belt, serpentine belt tensioner, alternator pulley, Upper strut mounts and bearings to bring it up to snuff. Still on original clutch and turbo. I can see a clutch in the not so distant future as I only went 300k on my other Jetta TDI.

last year(late January) I paid 5500 for my one owner '03 wagon, had all the options boxes ticked, except automatic. So heated leather, monsoon, ESP, etc. had 139k mi on it and came with a stack of dealer receipts going back to new serviced by the book(so I know exactly when the timing belt was done :) )

Not an amazing deal, but it was a decent price. 162k on it now, needs a VNT actuator, otherwise it's been great so far. My first TDi and first mk4 VW so still learning.

£100 ($150) last year for my '97 Golf with 143k miles and no MOT ticket (roadworthiness test). Changed the top mounts, a wing and sorted a few other niggles and got it back on the road. 7k miles later and it's just fine.

its 5 speed

a gls has everything it has monsoon moonroof heated seats and mirrors.

theres nothing on the kbb thing unchecked

it is silver with gray

2 previous owners a folder from each all orignal pamflets and manuals

correct oil used in all oil changes

because the main purpose i use it for is uber the wagon part of it is not usually good i wasnt looking for a wagon.

but now that i see i can fold the seat forward and sleep in it I like it a lot.

Im giving some thought into a trade for a 2006 and newer sedan. If that is a fair trade. just like the newer body.

anyhow total newbie just started reading and looking into tdi and getting it ready for heavy use.
