2014 tdi premium, dsg, no nav
Options: Monster mats/trunk liner & cargo blocks; splash guards, first aid kit
Sticker = $27,705
Less $1k rebate
less $1k new VW dealer match
Paid $25,705

They gave us about $6K trade-in on the Sonata, which was more than I expected, so with the dealer matching the $1k fuel credit I didn't dicker.

Congrats on your new Jetta TDI. Many happy miles!

If I may suggest, wait until you have close to the 9999 mile mark to take advantage of the extra time allotted and basically a free extra 10k and then purchase the VW Drive Easy warranty.

Here is what I am about to pay for a Basic 2014 TDI Manual Trans:
MSRP: 27,875
Discount: 2,072
Rebate: 1,000
Price: 24,803

with tax, etc, I think it is going to be 26,800, so they went down on price about 250

$24,550?

For some reason I don't see a destination fee but that must be included.
Any thoughts? Should I go for it?
It's dark grey with black interior

I got the exact same deal on the exact same car with the exact same options. lol Got mine with USAA pricing ($3600 off MSRP).

Then they gave me 2k more for my trade than anyone else was giving me.

Something seems off. A basic TDI Jetta manual (not value edition) MSRP is around $24-$25K and can be had for about $21-$22K, before tax tags and title…your quote seems like a Premium with Nav Manual…although it’s been some time since I’ve last shopped.

I paid 17K flat....Dealer fee included in Price.....So in reality i paid $16200 for the car with 5 miles.

I feel like an idiot because 3 months before that i bought a 2014 Jetta S for $14700, but some lady crashed and totaled which got me into the TDI....Good thing is that i did leather, nav, and color matched side mirrors swap($900 total after selling origanal parts) on the jetta S and they paid out the car like an SE with nav and i got $17,300 on the totaled car with 4700 miles!

About to get back into a TDI after a 3 year hiatus. I'm pretty excited!

here is the best deal that I've been able to work out at a local dealer:
2014 Jetta TDI 6MT
MSRP: $24,925 (including destination and I think they added some accessories like floor mats, cargo organizer, first aid kit, etc)
Sale price: $22,591
Out the door after taxes, registration, and dealer fees: $24,317

TrueCar price is $21,090 in my area (without the $500 in accessories). So it looks like they're about a $1000 apart, but the dealer said that they can't come down any more in price and offer the 0% for 72 month deal that VW has right now. I don't know if that's true or not, but this is the best price after checking with two dealers.

It seems like a pretty good deal even if I can't get it down another $1000. Thoughts?

Total sticker price including destination charge was $28,985
Purchase price was $23,985 with dealer keeping the $1k turbo rebate.

I had to pay Moonbeam Brown another $2100 for state sales tax, but overall feel like I got a good deal. I'm loving the car so far. Averaging 41 mpg the first two weeks of driving. My commute is 16 miles of heavy Bay Area traffic.

Why not just complete the true car process and go with the dealer that locks it in?

White, black interior, manual transmission.
0% 60 months.

Ended up getting the platinum warranty thingy up to 100k but that's a separate $1600 or so.

Car Price: $24,500

Now what do I do to it? I know modding a TDI is nothing like the GTI's I'm used too... Hope this site helps.

Bommarito VW in St. Louis had a TON of 2014 Jetta TDI's on the lot when I bought mine last month. Looks like they are down to 7 now...

I am in northern New England and I am very close to purchasing a 2014 model with DSG. No sunroof or navigation. Includes mud flaps, first aid kit and floor mats. Best deal I could find from several dealers was $25690. MSRP = $28975. Prices here seem higher than rest of the country.

I was able to get mine (standard edition 6MT) for USD 20,900 on the road (including fees and destination but not taxes) MSRP 25k USD. The manual was very scarce around here, I was very fortunate to get exactly the one I wanted with the end of model run discount. Came with roadside kit, monster mats, alarm kit, and the trunk organization kit [which I thought I would never use but is actually awesome])

Gave my TDI its first bath today. Purchased it a few weeks ago.

Also had the back and side windows tinted Color Stable 20%. Will be going back in a few weeks to get cystalline front windshield installed.

I don't know why people are buying new TDIs when mine looks the same as the ones in the dealer.

My local dealer loves this car and offered to buy it from me for $14,500, that alone says something ... I am a car enthusiast with multiple cars who knows how to care for a car. See my for sale thread and let me know what you think before buying a new car. I wish I had found something like this before I bought mine new. I have another new car and no longer need this commuter car.

Your friends will think it is a 2015 !!!
