Where did you order your CR170 from? was it a kit with the intake pipe? Any modification needed?
All the CR170 parts came from ID parts minus the 4 bar Map which I sourced from Tunemyeuro. Really no modification besides the EGR which was already half deleted via tune. Honestly the best way to do this mod if you can is delete the entire EGR system which I did via a kit from Darkside keeping my ASV.

Installed Darkside EGR race pipe, installed CR170 intake and S&B cold air intake, routed fuel lines to filter canister after aux pump delete and CP3 install, put the front end back on the car and wheel well liners back in. My last black interior part arrived so finished that up as well. Everything is coming together just waiting on the CP3 outlet adapter from Matt and I can start the car.

That darkside race pipe/egr delete was one hell of a PITA.... It took me forever to find the back bolt. Just not a lot of space to work.

Pro-tip: use a bit of loc-tite on those threads

Yea it’s not fun with front end on. It’s worth the 45min to put it into service position especially if your draining coolant anyways. The thermostat was no fun what an absolute PITA.

lol about the Darkside EGR pipe, yep. major PITA. got rid of it for Xman EGR pipe because their hole that I plugged where the sensor goes into, blew out several times. it was messy. So, I got fed up and went with Xman and never had a problem again.

just replaced my CV boots inner and outer, no fun!!!!!!! it was torn and leaking. RAxles told me to go ahead replace boots and drive on.

replaced front hub bearings and whoa, day and night of differences. much less vibrations now. rears needs to be replaced soon.

upgraded the map sensor to 4 bar map and 2200 bar fuel sensor and had malone re-tuned it and wow. very responsive than before.

I wish there was a black headliner option for the wagons lol. I mean, I know you could just get the panels/liner professionally painted but kind of a PITA.
everytime i walk into joann's i get that itch to buy a roll of this black felt like fabric. it looks and feels like alcantara. i would LOVE to take a weekend and rip all the headliner + pillar trims down and strip + line with that stuff.

i feel like the most annoying part will be finding new black plastic parts. i dont want to paint them because i feel it wont come out that well.

You might be able to hit them with an air-sprayer and some crinkle paint to get that textured look

yeah but then it might chip off or something.

i'd rather find as many black OEM parts as possible, then paint as a last resort.

just did some quick googling and it looks like a mk6 golf r interior would work nicely for plastic parts. even the sunroof control box appears to be the same!

just looked at the xman egr pipe. it looks identicle to my aliexpress one..

even down to the contents of the package. the oring land looks the same, the bolt types are the same, the block off plate is the same, the boost tap location is the same, the plug for said boost tap is the same, they both even have the SAME weld mark on the inside of the pipe!

it's almost like XMAN is sourcing his EGR pipes from china.....
when i bought mine from aliexpress, it was like $15. granted the first one i received was literally bent as the shipping courier banged it around, but that could happen to anyone's product. it was swiftly replaced by aliexpress (not the seller) once a photo was provided.

ill leave this link here..

ill try to find the photo of my damaged one lol, it was quite impressive how someone managed to bend / deform a 0.25inch thick piece of aluminum

I know the GTI/R have the typical panels you can prob take from it. Just if you have a wagon, it would be hard to find the rear pieces and of course headliner. Which I think would be the easiest part to do if you bought fabric.

yeah im not worried about any fabric pieces, those can be rewrapped in whatever fabric you want. im more concerned with all the plastic parts. which for the most part they seem to be the same as the golf's

Good stuff - thanks!
Interestingly enough, I bought a kit from Profidiesel out of Bulgaria and the EGR delete there is welded stainless steel - looks like he's making his own stuff and not just up-charging for stuff bought in China.

What's all you guys' secret for finding stuff on that site? It is so un-searchable, it makes me think it's a big money laundering machine that actually has nothing for sale.
Not that I should be the one to answer because I couldn't find what @calimustang just linked to, but typically the generation of car is simply the number - Like Golf 4 or Golf 6 (don't search Jetta because it's not marketed as such worldwide - you'll get a few hits, but not nearly as many as Golf).
Same with "Sportwagen" - NAR-only designation. Rest of the world calls it a "Variant" to the model.

So - "Golf 6 Variant spoiler" will get you this. And then once there, if you look around the page, you'll see recommendations for other things and before you know it, 20min. later you'll have 15 things in your cart. :)
(Which is how I ended up buying one of these the other day. No idea if it'll work worth a hoot, but I've blown $50 on stupider things; worst case, it's a fidget toy with LEDs :D.)

LMAO! I had the very same problem searching so I cut the texts of the search box and viola! (its the programming error on the website on their end)

I input the text into the search box : " VW Golf Mk5 2.0tdi" then press enter. boom long list but EGR delete pipe is there on the top on my end.

edit: whoops didn't see Nuje's recent reply with details.

Okay, what the hell! Those side spoiler pieces actually look pretty good! I think I might buy those!

My guess cause you had VAG and handheld, those tag lines are for sure used in a vibrator search lol!
search term was the model# only, Vag401. At least it gave me both results. That other broken site would have probably skipped the most exact match. The only reason i even noticed was the image was pretty graphic, like NC-17. I thought they screened out that kind of stuff, but they missed one.

Annnd, nope, ali only gives me results for scanners. Being under the CCP thumb, they probably don't sell a lot of slut products.

Looks like they probably quit making that model. Ali has it for over $100, amazon no longer has it, and it was $50 a few years ago.

lol! I am considering of giving it a try as stepdaughter's 13 Jetta sedan TDI has failing window switch on the drivers side. OEM are expensive.

saw the AN 8 and AN10 turbo feed mount, that perked my interests but its designed for MK4 or other brands. meh.
