Gotcha, thanks!
Wow! How old is the water pump? Dunno if you did the timing belt lately.installed my cp3 pump. saw that my water pump seal was leaking. everything else looked fine. not sure what if anything id parts will do about it. Threw the stickies on the front to try them. they poke a little more than id like. but they were cheap. ill upload a pic when its nice enough to run all 4. Changed my oil. Trying to figure out why my dsg shifting issues went away after the cp3 and tune.... Related to boost or fueling?
Was done at 117k little over a year ago. Bought from Id parts. I'd say it started seeping recently because there was no crusties. So within the week maybe. Cleaned the hole and pump, checked it, and added a bit of rtv to the mating surface. Yes, I know I shouldn't have. I'll sell with it when they get back to me.Wow! How old is the water pump? as for the tune, yeah tune does wonders to the fueling and smoothes out the engine. I’m curious…. Did she used to buckle a bit when you let go of gas pedal at low mph speed? (While she was stock that is)
The high pressure line is a pita to bend right.Installed CP3 Pump and Malone Stage 2 on the JSW this week, currently in for an alignment, wheel balance, and rotation.
Pffff.....I wasn't gonna deal with that. I just ordered a pre-bent fuel line with the kit.The high pressure line is a pita to bend right.
And the suction valve on mine backed out. Ahhhhh!Pffff.....I wasn't gonna deal with that. I just ordered a pre-bent fuel line with the kit.
When I did my pump upgrade, I splooshed a little fuel on my 5k mile old timing belt (my cp3 pump showed up literally 5 days after I did my original timing belt)....I didn't want to risk it so I ordered a continental belt from Diesel Geek and they had it to me in 2 days.I kind of general question here. Should I replace my timing belt being diesel fuel got all over it? I have about 40,000 left on my interval.
They currently only have gatesWhen I did my pump upgrade, I splooshed a little fuel on my 5k mile old timing belt (my cp3 pump showed up literally 5 days after I did my original timing belt)....I didn't want to risk it so I ordered a continental belt from Diesel Geek and they had it to me in 2 days.
Interesting, I actually ordered a Gates belt originally from them last Wednesday, they texted me and said that they were out, and if I was ok with a continental. They currently only have gates
uhmmmm… am I looking at the CP3 pump that had its freeze plug blown?Nope, looks like he forgot the checkball. Piston sized, broke, and got chewed up. And eventually knocked the freeze plug out. Metal everywhere.
Yep. From looking, if a checkball is forgotten, this happens... Was supposed to be a reconditioned pump.uhmmmm… am I looking at the CP3 pump that had its freeze plug blown?
Xman turbos...wow............ what a nasty mess. where did you get that CP3 from?
seems you are NOT the isolated one. been seeing several go lately. how long did you have it and how many miles?Xman turbos...
I have half a mind to buy a used one off of eBay from Europe
About 150 miles. 90% of it highway. So I'd be wise to buy a used one from Europe to have as a spare... Good to know it's a 12 month unlimited mile warrenty.seems you are NOT the isolated one. been seeing several go lately. how long did you have it and how many miles?
Alright. Good call.Yup always get a spare one and spare actuator…. Look at what happened to me recently.
what LED company did you use? I used DeAutoKey LEDs and zero issues.Replaced the tailgate lock actuator, and replaced blown headlight with LEDs. Still on the fence with this "upgrade," as I have the error code and I don't think the so-called Error Decoders would fit inside the rears of the headlamp housings.
Yeah I got a name brand also. The bulb check error. But as soon as I turn the lights on, it goes out. They are awesome. But when it's cold, they don't melt the ice.what LED company did you use? I used DeAutoKey LEDs and zero issues.
I´m thinking of getting a CP3 upgrade to my CJAA. I´m thinking of getting it from Xman but IDK right now. If several go lately. I will wait a couple of month to do it. After that then maybe the Xman CR170 Hybrid at least.seems you are NOT the isolated one. been seeing several go lately. how long did you have it and how many miles?
Who knows if it's a supplier or they are training a new person or an irate past employee. This new one seems fine.I´m thinking of getting a CP3 upgrade to my CJAA. Yeah i know some people here or in FB groups who have the Stevenson CP3 kit which is the same as the Xman CP3 kit or they brought it from Xman and is working fine so far... at least more than 5,000 miles.Who knows if it's a supplier or they are training a new person or an irate past employee.
