You need a supply of spare 3mm hose for the returns.

eBay has it in 1 meter rolls, generally free shipping, depending on the vendor. If you use that size, a clamp is not needed. The pressure on those returns is very, very low. I've been driving VW diesels almost 45 years, I've never had a return hose to blow off ......... old hose leaking, yes!

I wonder if there's a problem with my thermostatic fitting, maybe I'm getting excess pressure in the return? What's the best way to eliminate that fuel circuit?

I've had a cart full sitting there for weeks waiting on "Out of Stock" to re-stock. While waiting, other things on the list come up Out of Stock.
I just finished-up work on my son's 2000 TDI. I put back the old CV Joints ...... that sucks! I've had his car in my garage almost a month doing a crap load of things to it .......... the biggie was the Blend Doors which I posted about that recently.

I think tomorrow I'll go shopping somewhere else on-line! (Hey, and over the years, I purchased a lot of parts from IDParts.)

Yeah, but I needed the parts at least two weeks ago. I wanted to get the car in and out as I have things to do to my Tiguan before winter hits. Then, I'll keep my Van inside all winter. So, the window of opportunity closed on my son's car for at least three months.

Man, my experience buying from ID parts has been amazing !
Twice, I’ve ordered things and within an hour I receive a tracking number and expected date of delivery.
I’ve had things arrive faster up to the nether regions of northern BC - from stateside than Canadian sellers !

Cat year sometime i bought a set of 3d printed mus flaps for the front of the car. One broke fairly quickly, the vendor sent out replacments. Just busted another one this morning. Drive through a half frozen mud puddle in the lane, tire broke through and the mud flap got broken off when it hit the ice. (My best guess any way.) Think it's time to make some mud flaps out of rubber this time around.

I’m still stoked to try this out

Wonder how these would hold out in the deep white stuff ?

Dug it out.

There was no snow when I parked it there yesterday, got almost three feet of wet heavy stuff overnight. Trees down everywhere, rest of the day will be clearing them off the road, hopefully before the generator runs out of gas

I live in Fernie, and if you know Fernie, we are famous for our snow. These have held up wonderfully! I cannot recommend them enough, I love them.

Neighbors and I got our private road open only to find the Township hasn't ploughed - some snow emergency excuse  I guess there won't be any cops to tell me I can't ride my sled on the highway

I wish we had enough snow around here to justify a sled. There is enough in the mountains but that is also dangerous at points

Winter ain't what it used to be, I used to get 10-12 weeks of good trail riding and put on 2-3k miles. Last few years the trails have not opened for more than a couple of weeks, and last year they didn't open at all. Now we've got 3 feet of snow before anything froze, not a promising start to the season :(

Here is the replacement Jetta I picked up for my brother in law. It has a locked up engine, but decent non rusty body. Going to swap his engine and transmission into it.
The q7 TDI almost didn't even feel the Mk4 back there, though you could feel it in braking. Then in the hatch of the Q7, was an included alh engine with a hole in the block... Going to get all the good parts off of it.

Ordered a new head. So looking forward to not having to baby it, and to finally install the 0.205 nozzles I bought 3 years ago.

Flashed a new revision from Burpod. He just sent it to me after reading of my not-up-to-par fuel economy without my asking—great customer service!

Only had a chance to take it on a quick spin, but it felt very good. Will code it to 00002 per his recommendation.

Also put the snow tires on it.

Can’t say enough about him and his commitment , great guy .
