I did 20" on each front door, and 10" on the back doors...

This is nice rubber actually. The 3m tape that came with it had plastic stuck to the side and made the tape unusable. I went to Autozone and just bought another roll and installed it just fine.

These are really nice and good quality. Cleaned the door inserts with rubbing alcohol, then peeled the backs off of them and installed them. Well worth the $40 and completes the interior nicely.

I have a $50 gift card from VW that I will put towards a sunshade and first aid kit today.

Also plan to scope out the one Mk VII they have on the lot to see what I missed out on...

Disabled high beams as drls and enabled fogs as drls. Now if a del burns out I won't have to change a high beam bulb but a fog light bulb which is much easier.
How did you accomplish this? Is it a VCDS tweak you can do? Re-routing wiring?
Enquiring minds need to know. :)

Shame on me for taking the default French classes in high school and not German.
Sprechen sie Englisch?

(Actually, Google translate does a decent job of explaining; helps that German and English numerals are the same. :))

removed the reverse bulbs and installed LED's from deAutoKey.
Awesome improvement: better lighting, and no error codes on dash.

Did you get a part number for the iPhone connector? Or is this something the dealership would know if I just describe it as the green connector?
5N0-035-554-H is the part number for the green cable. If you call 1-800-drive-VW they will send one to you for free if your MK7 didn't come with the correct one.

Hot tip, i'm gonna give them a call!
Well, the (very nice) guy on the phone, after a few minutes on hold, said they "were sending those out at one point, but we are out of them right now, and so we are no longer sending those, but you can purchase them on the parts website".

Great. Not sure if it depends which agent you call whether or not they are out of them, but i wasn't gonna fight too hard.

For now i'll be sticking with Bluetooth + 12V charger for the rare times it's necessary. Oh well!

That's crap...one they are drop shipped from a warehouse so saying they are out is highly suspect, especially when he said to order one. Two I just did this for both my car and wife's car about 3 weeks ago. Don't be afraid to tell them that you're not happy and now you can't even use the stuff you have already paid for. I'd call back if I were you.

Dealer said they were suppose to mail me one for free, but doubt it's going to happen. It's been almost 2 weeks and i haven't received one.

Out of the blue, VWOA called me back today and said they just got some in, and would send me one by next week. So, assuming that happens...nice guys finish first?

Added Vag-Can pro to my collection of scan tools... (VCDS, VAG Tacho, VAG-CAN pro, and a few other older K line ones). Working on translating some of the manuals, but so far I have added video in motion (VIM) to my MK7 Golf.

Swapped out my v1.0 CR 12 module for the v2.0 CR 12 module. V1.0 had a slight vibration at 2000 rpm (very slight, hardly noticeable). Joe Hafner and the rest of the dieseltuning.ca crew sent their CR 12s to Wolfsburg for some additional tweaking/programming...just got the update module today. Great improvement!

In addition to eliminating the 2k shudder, the boys in Wolfsburg managed to massage some more juice out of this thing. The module can be adjusted for various power levels...I'm currently running Level "C" (approximately 300 ft./lbs. of twist).

Initial impressions are solid:

1. No detectable drivetrain shudder.
2. MPG remains steady (I'm currently clocking 41.8 MPG, mostly highway with some "spirited" jaunts).
3. Thrust off the line is MOST impressive...v1.0 was pretty great, but v2.0 of the CR 12 will seriously kick you back in your seat off the line...smooth power delivery continues across the RPM band.

Again, I'll post updates as I bank more miles, but this is a great option for those that don't want an ECU tune!

Requires Vag-Can pro (VCP) and that cost me $270 total from Poland. It writes to the .zdc file itself changing the value to turn off video display from 5 kph to 255 kph. Works great, I can use my iPhone 5 with HDMi output converter cable and the Audi MMI RCA cable to mirror my phone's display on the radio. It is great for using Apple or Google maps, streaming pandora, and yes you can watch Netflix, YouTube and FaceTime while you drive but I don't.
