Added Audi TT rims-
Brand new-zero miles on rims and tires.
Oooh! PERDY more side profile next time though, or cut the wheels!

I shined up my Jetta, my old pressure washer broke half way thru the car... sawzall'd the top of it, manually started the motor with a screwdriver got it going long enough to finish the car (motor is completely worn out!)... treated it to the clay bar in a few rough spots and apply some hydrophobic paint hardener and some wax, she's smooth as glass again... and has such a pop to it, paint probably looks as good as it ever was new... (helps having professional detailing products at your disposal lol)

I need wheels for my car... steelies just aren't cutting it anymore (i was intending to puchase wheel/tire for the summer since the rubber on it is almost gone, put my winters on the steelies...

Im thinking I might detail my jeep just so the mud peels off easier, its a graphite metallic so i can only imagine how much that will pop when its applied

Drove. I topped her off completely & drove @70mph to San Diego (about 2 hrs) with the wife for lunch, topped her off again, drove home @65mph, topped her off again. The trip down yielded 49.04 mpg, the return trip yielded 55.6 mpg.

Put on a Curt trailer hitch yesterday. While I was in the trunk, I realized that my new to me Jetta had a nice full size spare. My RH rear tire has a slow leak, so I swapped the spare to that position.

Ordered some parts from IDParts. Time for rear brakes.

Curt Hitch / Euro Drawbar last week. Last night I replace the cooling fan again, this time replacing the 'Lifetime' Autozone large fan with one from Bora Parts. The difference is quality was readily apparent. While I had the front end apart I re-leveled / re-aimed the headlights too.

Got a Malone stage 3 tune installed by AARodriguez at SOWO over the weekend. Hung out with Andrew and his family and John Fettig for a couple hours. They are great people. Also met Aaron from Boraparts and his brother Matt and even had dinner with them Saturday night. Both are great guys and deserve our business. Sunday afternoon I changed my nasty cabin filter and fuel filter. Overall it was a great weekend.

I had been getting a lot of sputtering in the initial 10 minutes of driving and then it would smooth out after a while. I did a diesel purge and made sure my lift pump was functioning and changed the fuel filter. Results this morning were promising but I did let it warm up for 5-10 mins. Hopefully this solved it. More later.

Ordered it!

There's a number of firsts for me this year. First time buying a wagon, first time buying a non-VW car, and my first child. When I realized that my GLI wouldn't work for road trips with the SO, kid and a dog in the car (and thus we'd always have to be in her Edge) I decided to do something about it.

Sadly, VW doesn't want to sell me a car. The GTI is too small and the tiguan too large, and none of the JSW trims make me happy. So, I placed an order for the closest thing to what I want:

It'll be nice to be back in a diesel for my DD, and as a bonus I'll have plenty of room for hauling around parts for the 2004. Now all I have to do is clean up the GLI and the 2012 so I can sell them before BMW finishes my car (you know, in all that spare time I have left between birthing classes, pre-natal yoga, and fulfilling every hormone fueled desire my girl may have.)

Wouldn't an Audi wagon have been closer and had trim levels like a BMW?

Holy smoke...that's a lot of work done. Hope you got fries with that order.:)
I'll say! I kept reading the list - The list kept going and going... I'll have to agree, you asked for the "Biggie Size" or you said "Go Large" while ordering. Nice mods!

Continued tuning... Still have a boost spike that needs to be calmed down but I'd call things "under control" now...

Really surprise to see someone say the Tiggy was too big because 4yrs ago with one kiddo and no dog we found the Tiggy was going to be way too small with almost no trunk space (couldn't fit a stroller); so we ended up with the JSW. Now with 2 young ones and a dog we're in serious need of a Med-Lg roof box to make any type of out of town trip.

Even on paper the Tig has less interior room than a JSW, built on the same platform, no? Shows how people's perception sells cars, not numbers :)

That being said, the previous poster could have meant it was too big in other ways (too high for a roof rack in his garage, or whatever).

Why thank you!

Negative, stock, completely stock with 247K. My brother (digital corpus here on the board) Did the hammer mod on the fuel pump, brought the measurements right around 2.8-3.0 per the VCDS. The turbo I cleaned a couple months ago, boost valve & gauge is installed to monitor everything. The boost valve is set to be fully open right around 2,200mbar or 17.2psi.

Not really. The only wagon audi sells right now is the Allroad, which is bigger, heavier and more expensive than the BMW. I need a backseat and a cargo area big enough for the dog, but I still want the smallest car I can get. I like being small and nimble. :)

Plus, the audi has fewer tech toys, even though it feels way more luxurious inside. The two vehicles are not really in the same class.

Pretty much this. Getting into the tiguan feels like getting into a minivan, it's too tall and you sit much differently in it.

Congrats! .. . I heard some good tuning options for it as well... I almost went the same route but instead been waiting for the 2015 Golf Sportswagon all wheel drive 6 speed ... or the GTD.... maybe they will actually come through in 2015 ...If not I may follow you my friend

Thanks, Pierre. I'm still trying to decide on the tune, I think this may be the first car I don't mod. (Yeah right. ;) )

The GTD looks pretty hot, unfortunately the last I heard it was 2016/2017 for the GTD.

I heard that the dealers will void the warranty if you tune your car. You know how they like to jerk people around on warranty as it is...didn't want to give them ammo to work with. It's the reason that I waited to tune my 01 TDI. I still haven't tuned the GTI, but then I'm happy with the way it is now.....for now.;)

No GTD, and I bet you'll wait several years to see the 4-motion JSW, if at all. I suspect it has the same packaging problem as the GTD where there isn't room for the Urea tank and IRS. That would rule it out for NA. No one has said it's coming here, anyway, only that it might, or it should.
