Finally fabbed up a turbo support bracket for my 2260vk and last week re-fit my downpipe and finished up my 3" turbo back. Also tweaked my vnt stop a bit. Seems to spool up better, and finally the vibrations are at a reasonable level inside the cabin!
Which mounts you running? Estimated power levels?

Really. Low power is part of the fun. It's nice to bumble around it it at low revs or have to keep it above 5000 RPM to get any reasonable speed out of it.

Running bfi stage 1 all around. Figure power is about 225 right now but the firads have way more fuel to go. I'm only on the 4th revision on the tune.

How do you like the trans and engine mount, I have the dogbone mount now from bfi and wanted to upgrade to at least a stage 1trans mount...

They transmit a fair amount of vibrations in my 13 year old car, but the driveline is quite solid.

I'd been getting a whiff of oil smell in the cabin of IBW after high boost runs, didn't know where it was coming from, but the CCV puck and hose to the intake were all oily. At a guru's suggestion I replaced the CCV puck tonight. Drove the car about 25 miles, got it on full boost a few times, no smell or visible leaks. Just when I thought it was valve guides or blowby. I don't have a final verdict yet but this is promising.

Washed her, added 15hp with stickers, replaced the side fender lights with ones that won't leak, and changed the cabin filter.

That's how I feel. I got a rattle on the inside of the top dash vent area. It only rattles 50% of the time, and that's with a 1050 rpm idle.

Today I finished out my SS mods with the Forge S2S shifter. It's just a stock arm slotted with a new pin you can bolt in place. Couldn't get it to work at the shortest range so I had to come up 1/4" or so for the transition between 5th and 6th to be right.

Small laundry list:
  • Prepped the downpipe for its final two welds
  • Took a page out of the MK IV book and put a heat shield from a junked 1.8T on the firewall over the brake line ;)
  • Experimented in polishing the headlights' Laminex cover. Now that I know the best results, it should only take about 15-200 min to refinish them in the future. Best results were
    • P800 wet sand
    • P1000 wet sand
    • P1500 wet sand
    • Novus 3 for a couple minutes of hand polishing
    • Novus 2 for a couple minutes of hand polishing
  • Tonight I'll re-align them given that I measured out the setup last night
  • Replaced the driver's mirror with a convex & aspherical mirror from Latvia
    • That included soldering on new terminations to the wires since the others had nearly rusted off.

Struts and shocks today. Easier than I thought, harder on the passenger side. Much better now. Clunking from strut bearing being frozen with rust is now gone. Alignment on Monday.

Took some Craftsman toolbox foam, about 1"x12", and wedged it between the dash and windshield. My redneck engineering completely eliminated a horrendous dash/dash vent rattle from the BFI mounts.

Finally did something besides drive it!! I removed my old rusty hood release pull and installed a new stainless steel version so I shouldn't have to worry about it rusting out again.
Really high tech :)

The rusty one is a piece of steel welding wire and the new one is a piece of stainless welding wire - nothing but the best for this machine :p.
