Welcome back everyone. No, you weren't cut off from accessing TDIClub by your employer or spouse, we unfortunately suffered a catastrophic crash of the server.
Thanks to the donations from the past TDIFests, on Monday I dropped of a new partially configured server at the co-location facility that was supposed to act as a backup/take add some load-balancing to the servers. The plan was for this to be a gradual and leisurely time migrating things over.
However I guess the other old server had different plans and later Monday night it suffered the loss of two drives from the RAID and gave misc. errors on the SCSI card, causing a stressful night wondering just how good those backups were. After some probing and prodding Tuesday morning it was decided to just move over to the new server and use the latest available backups, which eventually were accessible.
This has all now been restored as of Feb. 28 thanks a huge helping hand from a friend of mine (Alan who runs ufies.org). There was some stressful times when it looked like even the backups were fubard, but in the end it all came over. Luckily the new server was physically in place so messing around with problem hardware didn't add to the workload.
Anyways, I've done a bunch of testing and everything seems to be ok, other than you'll need to repeat yourself on any posts you made on March 1st and 2nd. If you notice any other problem, please let me know.
Now to look into getting the older server fixed so we have a backup server like the plan called for....
